Understanding the American Technocracy Posted on June 17, 2024June 16, 2024 By Johnny Crypto As we go about our busy days, most people are relegated to thinking everything is fine with their lives and the economy of them. More and more, people are struggling to make ends meet. Lower income individuals are falling farther and farther behind on the myth that is the American dream. However, some specific groups of people are prospering beyond expectations. You may know them or know of them, They are government employees or indirect beneficiaries of government spending. They benefit from government spending in more ways than one. A small regional construction contractor who gets a no bid contract to put asinine ramps on the corners of intersections where no person struggling with a disability would ever dare to venture is one example. Another when you notice asphalt jogging paths start showing up in you area and then you learns your local township supervisor who happens to have a paving company. How about your state increasing tolls on the turnpike that were originally supposed to be temporary. The put new scanning stations across the road to take your money more efficiently (who got that contract) while claiming the tolls provide maintenance for the system. I thought the $.86 per gallon tax on gasoline was for that. The American economy is estimated to be approximately $22 trillion per year. Most of us have begun to doubt any statistic that pours forth from our government of late. Of this estimate, it is also estimated by economists that somewhere about 42% is government spending. This includes federal, state, and local levels. Understanding a trillion dollars is no small task. Just thinking of that magnitude can make your brain sore. The government does not produce anything, but only consumes. (Well, they produce debt, but more on debt at a latter time.) It is one gigantic grifting operation where favors are doled out like bubble gum at a Independence Day parade from a fire truck. There are some of us who refuse to play in this arena and become dependent on these gratuities. Many times it is sad to watch as there is generally never enough for everyone. Sorry pal. Further, when you attempt to obtain services from your government, it can be daunting. Have you ever been in a social security office? Not a very pleasant experience. Did this behemoth just grow randomly on it’s own, or was this outcome by design? Difficult question to ponder without being angered. There are literally millions of employees of the governments that are well paid, well benefited, and provided with generous pensions and retirements that common folk are not privy to. No matter who is elected to the highest offices, this leviathan continues to gain momentum and encroach on Americans. What should be done? I for one, have attempted to extricate myself from the influence of this behemoth. That can take a long time and necessitate the use of resources very differently from what most are used to, causing disruption in comfortable habits. But ultimately, it boils down to an individual choice on how much pain one can tolerate. Are the American masses nearing a limit on how much they will tolerate? I think they are. What is a good first step to isolate yourself from the influences of this behemoth technocracy? My suggestion would be to take what savings you have and convert it to a hard asset. That does not include any known cryptocurrencies. Hard assets like land, or precious metals. I prefer the latter. Keep them safely in your possession. Ultimately, the entire charade will crumble due to the lack of sound money, the root cause of almost all problems we face. But more on that later. There is not doubt, as this is written in mid-June of 2024 that the next six months will be significantly historic. I cannot predict one way or another what I think will happen. I have only attempted to prepare myself for all possibilities where I can. I hope you can do the same. We will need to rely on each other in coming difficult times. I would like to hear your opinions of what you will think will happen or how you have prepared for hardship. History Warns Us Posted on June 19, 2024June 17, 2024 Today I am focusing on stupid shit that people say, thus the name of the post. What does history warn us about? And by someone espousing that history warns us isn’t that a warning in itself? The problem is not the writing of these individuals but how I interpret them… Read More
